This 2001 Ducati 748 spent time in California before it was acquired by the seller in 2024. Powered by a 748cc Desmoquattro DOHC L-twin paired with a six-speed transmission, the motorcycle is finished in yellow with white accents. It also features an electric starter, Weber-Marelli fuel injection, a two-into-two exhaust system, a 43mm inverted fork, a piggyback-reservoir monoshock, a single-sided swingarm, triple disc brakes, three-spoke 17″ wheels, a monoposto tail section, a clear windscreen, dual headlamps, fairing-mounted mirrors, rear-set foot controls, and a side stand. This 748 is offered at no reserve with a Haynes repair manual, spare and removed parts, and a Virginia title in the seller’s name.
The fully faired bodywork is finished in yellow, and white-finished panels accent the monoposto tail section. Additional details include a silver-finished trellis frame, a 4.5-gallon fuel tank, a black solo seat, a clear windscreen, dual headlamps, fairing-mounted mirrors, rear-set foot controls, and a side stand.
Gray-finished 17″ three-spoke alloy wheels were reportedly mounted with 120/70 front and 180/55 rear Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tires in June 2022. Adjustable Showa suspension consists of a 43mm inverted fork in addition to a piggyback-reservoir monoshock attached to the single-sided aluminum swingarm. The brake package includes dual 320mm drilled rotors and four-piston calipers up front along with a 220mm drilled rotor and a two-piston caliper at the rear. According to the seller, work in April 2023 involved replacing the rear brake master cylinder, rotor, and pads.
Clip-on handlebars are secured below the upper triple clamp, which has an attachment point for the piston-style steering damper. Instrumentation consists of a 180-mph speedometer, a Ducati Corse-branded 13k-rpm tachometer, a coolant temperature gauge, and an array of indicator lights. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles, approximately 200 of which have been ridden under current ownership. An August 2003 entry on the Carfax report indicates that the motorcycle was issued a “Not Actual Mileage” title by the state of Wisconsin.
The liquid-cooled 748cc Desmoquattro DOHC L-twin features an electric starter, Weber-Marelli fuel injection, four desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder, and a two-into-two exhaust system with dual mufflers under the tail section. Factory-rated output was 97 horsepower and 55 lb-ft of torque. The seller tells us that the timing belts were changed in June 2022 and that replacement fuel pump hoses were fitted in April 2023. The battery was replaced in June 2025.
